The European Union studies to retire the 1 and 2 cents coins out off the market.

The European Union is considering withdrawing the 1 and 2 cent coins in order to put an end to the difference in rounding according to the country. There are countries that  have specific regulations on the rounding of the euro, which means that it is not necessary to use these coins. Other countries do not have any regulations, which means that these coins are still necessary but their use is limited.

The European Union will study whether the use of these coins is still efficient. If it is not, perphaps they will eliminate the coins from the market, and the regulations on the euro's rounding will be homogenised.
