How to use the Counterfeit Detector CHICAGO
When the NEW CHICAGO counterfeit detector detects a suspicious banknote, an error message appears on the screen.
The following error messages may appear: E-1, E-2, .... We must re-pass the note through its four positions (all bills consist of 4 sides).
Yes, the detector shows the error message in its four positions, then we are sure that the bill is suspicious or false.
If the detector shows error in three of the four positions, the note is genuine.
That is, with one of the four positions of the note being recognized as good, the note is authentic.
This is the Regulation according to the Bank of Spain and the European Central Bank to detect a fake banknote.
Sometimes the notes have been washed, painted, losing part of their properties, this is the reason why some position of a note is recognized in some of its positions as false, when in fact it is not.
Faced with an assumption such as this, do not forget to go through the CHICAGO detector that same note in another position.
